Description
The S6B0759X01-BOCY is a driver and controller LSI for graphic dot-matrix liquid crystal display systems. It contains 81 common and 128 segment driver circuits. This chip is connected directly to a microprocessor, accepting serial or 8-bit parallel display data and storing it in an on-chip display data RAM of 81 x 128 bits. The S6B0759X01-BOCY provides a highly flexible display section due to the 1-to-1 correspondence between on-chip display data RAM bits and LCD panel pixels. It performs display data RAM read/write operations with no externally operating clock to minimize power consumption. Additionally, it contains power supply circuits necessary to drive the liquid crystal, making it possible to create a display system with the fewest components.
