The Electronic Component Model S6174 is a part of Luminary Micro Stellaris® family of microcontrollers. It is the first ARM® Cortex™-M3 based controller that brings high-performance 32-bit computing to cost-sensitive embedded microcontroller applications. The LM3S617 controller offers the advantages of ARM's development tools, System-on-Chip (SoC) infrastructure IP applications, and a large user community. It uses ARM's Thumb®-compatible Thumb-2 instruction set to reduce memory requirements and cost. Luminary Micro provides a complete solution for quick market entry, including a customer development board, white papers, application notes, and a strong support, sales, and distributor network.
