Description
The PCA8574PW is an I/O expander IC which means that it provides additional input/output pins to the microcontroller. This model is manufactured by NXP and is a part of their I2C-bus solutions.

The protocol replaced complex parallel interfaces with a simple yet powerful two-wire structure that carries data one bit at a time.
