Description
The PCA9575HF is a type of I/O expander electronic component that is suitable for use in low voltage processor and handheld battery-powered mobile applications. It is designed to provide 16 bits of General Purpose parallel Input/Output (GPIO) expansion to enhance the NXP family of I2C-bus I/O expanders. This CMOS device boasts of several improvements such as lower supply current, operating voltage of 1.1V to 3.6V, separate supply rails that enable voltage level translation anywhere between 1.1V and 3.6V, 400kHz clock frequency, and smaller packaging. The 16 I/O ports can be configured as inputs or outputs independently of each other and default on start-up to inputs.
