The PCA9555PWR is an I/O expander designed for I2C/SMBus applications, providing 16 bits of GPIO expansion. Developed to enhance the Philips family of IC I/O expanders, the PCA9555PWR offers features such as a higher drive capability, 5 V I/O tolerance, lower supply current, individual I/O configuration, and smaller packaging, giving it the versatility to work with ACPI power switches, sensors, push buttons, LEDs, fans, and other devices needing additional I/O.
