The SAA7374GP is a low-voltage chip that combines the functions of a CD decoder IC and Digital Servo IC. It is an improved version of the SAA7345 (CD6) decoder with enhanced error correction strategy and the TDA1301T (DSIC2) servo with added features. This chip is designed for CD-ROM mode, single and double-speed modes, and lock-to-disc mode. It also implements all standard decoder functions digitally on the chip and has a full CD graphics interface. The SAA7374GP features FIFO overflow concealment for rotational shock resistance, a digital audio interface (EBU) for both audio and data, and a 2 and 4 times oversampling integrated digital filter with audio data peak level detection. It also includes all TDA1301 (DSIC2) digital servo functions, low focus noise, and improved playability on specific discs.
