Description

The PM5348-RCT is a monolithic integrated circuit designed for SONET/SDH processing and ATM mapping. It is compliant with SONET and SDH requirements and ATM Forum User Network Interface specifications. The PM5348-RCT is a software configurable chip that provides dual ATM User-Network Interfaces operating at 155.52 and 51.84 Mbit/s. It also supports mid-range PHY subrates of 25.92 and 12.96 Mbit/s. With on-chip clock and data recovery and clock synthesis, it processes two duplex data streams and implements the ATM physical layer for Broadband ISDN.
