Description
AK2358E is a 2-channel PCM codec LSI designed for ISDN/VoIP terminal adapters. It is used for centering on Europe A-Law companding rule used in the region and can also be selected for use in North America and Japan with the register.
Specifications and features
The AK2358E includes a built-in 2-channel PCM codec/filter, a built-in RINGER TONE generator (16Hz/20Hz), built-in operational amplifier for input/output gain adjustment, serial interface, built-in power-on reset, +5V±5% single power supply (AK2306), +3.3±0.3V single power supply (AK2306 LV), low power consumption, and small package. The PCM data interface supports LongFrame/ShortFrame/GCI while the PCM data transfer rate is configurable at N times frequency of 64 kHz (128k-4.096 MHz). Furthermore, the AK2358E has A-law, μ-law companding selection function (register setting), and functions that can be set for each channel such as power down (register setting), mute (register setting), and gain adjustment + 6 to -18 dB (register setting 1.0 dB step).
