    The LTC®1290BISW is a data acquisition component belonging to the ADCs/DACs product category. It houses a successive approximation A/D converter with a serial I/O. The device uses LTCMOSTM switched capacitor technology to carry out 12-bit unipolar or 11-bit plus sign bipolar A/D conversions with an 8-channel input multiplexer that can be configured for single-ended, differential inputs, or a combination of both. Additionally, an on-chip sample-and-hold is included for all single-ended input channels. This product is designed with software programmable features such as variable data word length, MSB- or LSB-first data sequence, power shutdown, and unipolar/bipolar conversion.
