Description
The PCF8591P is an 8-bit CMOS data acquisition device that serves as both an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It features four analog inputs, one analog output, and a serial I2C-bus interface. The device is powered by a single power supply and operates with a supply voltage of 2.5 V to 6 V. It also has low standby current and transfers data via a two-line bidirectional I2C-bus interface. Three hardware address pins allow for programming of the hardware address, enabling the use of up to eight devices connected to the I2C-bus without additional hardware.
