The µPD17246-101 is a 4-bit single-chip microcontroller designed for small general-purpose infrared remote control transmitters. It features a 17K general-purpose register system architecture, which allows for efficient programming and the execution of operations between data memories without the need for an accumulator. This model also comes with various features including an infrared remote controller carrier generator, program memory (ROM), data memory (RAM), timers, interrupt pins, and multiple I/O pins. The supply voltage range for this model is 2.0 to 3.6 V, and it also includes on-chip RAM retention detector and a low-voltage detector option.
