Description
The SC1146 is a high-performance, multi-phase (PWM) controller designed for high-power microprocessors with ultra-fast transient response. It is programmable for the voltage range required by the latest microprocessors, and it distributes the output load across up to four converter channels by digitally phase shifting the PWM outputs. This unique design greatly reduces stress and heat on the output stage components while lowering input ripple current by up to 80%. Precision design techniques and trimming of critical elements ensure accurate current sharing among the four phases.
