    The MAX6958AAEE+ is a member of the MAX690 family of supervisory circuits used for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor systems. It has integrated supervisory functions that help to save board space while providing protection to microprocessor-based systems. The MAX6958AAEE+ model offers a precision voltage monitor, power OK/reset time delay, watchdog timer, battery backup power switching, voltage monitor for power fail or low battery warning, and a minimum external component count. Additionally, it has low power consumption in battery backup mode, which extends battery life. Onboard gating of chip enable signals is also included to protect against erroneous data written to RAM during low VCC events.
