Description
The TPS5430-Q1 is a DC switching regulator that is capable of high-output current, featuring a low-resistance high-side N-channel MOSFET. This device is equipped with a high-performance voltage error amplifier, which provides tight voltage regulation accuracy under transient conditions. It also has an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) circuit, which prevents start-up until the input voltage reaches 5.5V, an internally set slow-start circuit, which limits inrush currents, and a voltage feed-forward circuit that improves the device's transient response. The TPS5430-Q1 feedback loop is internally compensated, reducing design complexity and external component count. It can regulate a wide variety of power sources with input voltage ranging from 5.5V to 36V including 24V buses. Additionally, this device comes with an active-high enable, overcurrent limiting, overvoltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown for system protection. The TPS5430-Q1 is available in an 8-pin SOIC PowerPADTM package, which is easy-to-use and thermally enhanced, and TI provides evaluation modules and the WEBENCH software tool to aid in power supply designs that meet aggressive equipment development cycles.
