The LTC®2159 is a sampling 16-bit A/D converter designed for digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals. It is perfect for demanding communications applications with AC performance that includes 77dB SNR and 90dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR). Ultralow jitter of 0.07psRMS allows undersampling of IF frequencies with excellent noise performance.

The LTC2159 provides high-quality digitization for high-frequency and wide dynamic range signals, making it perfect for demanding communications applications. It has a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 77dB and a spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) of 90dB. The converter operates on low power, consuming only 43mW, and has a single 1.8V supply. It offers multiple output options, including CMOS, DDR CMOS, or DDR LVDS outputs. The input ranges can be selected from 1VP-P to 2VP-P. The LTC2159 also features a 550MHz full power bandwidth S/H and optional data output randomizer and clock duty cycle stabilizer. It supports shutdown and nap modes, and configuration can be done through the serial SPI port. The LTC2159 comes in a 48-lead (7mm × 7mm) QFN package.
