Description
The RT5159 is a voltage regulator IC from the RN5RT Series. It is designed with high output voltage accuracy and low supply current using a CMOS process. The IC consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, output voltage setting resistors, and a current limit circuit. Its output voltage is fixed with high accuracy. The IC also features a built-in Driver Transistor of low ON Resistance, allowing for the development of low dropout CMOS type regulators. It has a current limit circuit that protects the IC from destruction when the output voltage is shorted to GND. The RT5159 also has a chip enable function to minimize standby supply current. It is packaged in the SOT-23-5 (Mini-mold) package, enabling high density mounting on boards.
