Description
The WG82552V is a single port GbE Physical Layer Transceiver (PHY) that connects to its Media Access Controller (MAC) through a dedicated interconnect. It is based on Intel's GbE PHY technology and supports operation at data rates of 10/100/1000 Mb/s. The physical layer circuitry provides a standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet interface for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T applications (802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3ab).
Specifications and features
The WG82552V features reduced power consumption during normal operation and power down modes. It has an IEEE 802.3 Ethernet interface for 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 10BASE-T applications conformance. The transceiver supports up to 9 kB jumbo frames in full duplex mode and carrier extension in half duplex mode. It also has auto-negotiation capabilities, smart speed operation for automatic speed reduction on faulty cable plants, automatic MDI crossover capability, and PMA loopback capability. The transceiver supports advanced power management features such as low power link up and auto connect battery saver. It also has advanced cable diagnostics including TDR and channel frequency response. The WG82552V has a dual interconnect between the MAC and PHY, three LED outputs, and multiple voltage regulation modes.
