Description
The S6503T is an advanced PFC (Power Factor Correction) controller that is adaptable to a discontinuous mode of operation, and it is suitable for high-density switching mode power supply and electronic ballast systems. It eliminates the use of bulky external components in its internal start-up circuits and instead, takes on an independent boost converter operation. Internal current sense blocks mount the low pass filter, and internal clamping of the error amplifier and multiplier output improve turn-on overshoot characteristics and current limiting. This model has the unique ability to prevent abnormal conditions such as open lamp and overvoltage.
