Description
The HMC175MS8TR is a low-cost SP6T switch in a 24-lead QSOP package. It is designed for use in antenna diversity, switched filter banks, gain/attenuation selection, and general channel multiplexing applications. With a signal control capability of up to 2.5 GHz, it is particularly suitable for basestation applications in the frequency ranges of 800-1000 MHz and 1700-2000 MHz. This switch incorporates a 3:6 decoder, which simplifies the control process by requiring only 3 control lines and a negative bias to select each RF path. Compared to GaAS SP6T switches, the HMC172QS24 eliminates the need for 12 control lines. When the switch is turned off, the outputs are reflective shorts. The QSOP24 package has the same footprint as a 14-lead SOIC package. An alternative version with a positive bias/TTL control, the HMC252QS24, is also available.
