Description
The TS556MN is a dual CMOS timer, suitable for various electronic applications. It offers very low power consumption with only 220µA at VCC=+5V, much lower than the NE556 which consumes 6mA. The TS556MN also has a high frequency capability of up to 2.7MHz, compared to the NE556 which can only reach 0.1MHz. This makes the TS556MN highly accurate in both Monostable and Astable modes. Additionally, the TS556MN has reduced supply current spikes during output transitions, allowing for the use of lower decoupling capacitors compared to the bipolar NE556. The high input impedance of 10-12Ω further allows for minimized timing capacitors.
