Description
The MSM7500 is an electronic component model in the product category of IC chips. It is specifically developed for low-power and multi-function applications in touchtone telephone sets and digital telephone terminals of digital PBXs. This single +5 V power supply CODEC device consists of various components such as analog speech paths directly connectable to a handset, a calling circuit directly connectable to a piezosounder, a push-button key scanning interface between push buttons and control processors, a dial tone generator, them-law/A-law CODEC, and a processor interface. The functions of this device can be controlled via an 8-bit data bus.
