The Fairchild Power Switch(FPS) product family, model 1M0365R, is specifically designed for off-line SMPS applications. It incorporates a high voltage power SenseFET and a current mode PWM controller IC, providing various features such as integrated fixed oscillator, under voltage lockout, leading edge blanking, optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver, thermal shutdown protection, over voltage protection, temperature compensated precision current sources for loop compensation, and fault protection circuit. Compared to discrete MOSFET and controller or RCC switching converter solutions, the Fairchild Power Switch(FPS) can significantly reduce total component count, design size, weight, while increasing efficiency, productivity, and system reliability. It is a versatile platform suitable for cost-effective design in both flyback and forward converters.
