Description
The U6433B is an electronic component designed specifically for lighting and ballast control applications. It is similar in design to the U6043B and is known for its excellent EMC (Electromagnetic Capability) and protection features. In addition to these features, the U6433B boasts an additional 8-mV comparator and a logical connection with the frequency doubling stage. This combination can be used for a hazard switch which bypasses the external shunt resistor to disable the frequency doubling, which can be especially important within the US automotive industry. During direction mode, the U6433B works like other flashers, meaning frequency doubling occurs in the case of lamp outage.
