Description
The HCPL0501R1 is an electronic component classified as a Transistor Output Optocoupler. It is a compact 8-pin small outline package that consists of an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to a high-speed photodetector transistor. One of its notable features is a separate connection for the bias of the photodiode, improving its speed significantly compared to conventional phototransistor optocouplers. The HCPL0501R1 is also capable of achieving a high-speed transmission rate of up to 1 MBit/s. It has a common mode transient immunity of at least 15kV/µs at VCM = 1500V for HCPL0453/0534 models. The device offers an open collector output, guaranteed performance over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, and is recognized by U.L., VDE0884, and BSI.
