Description
The AME8801HEEVZ is a positive, linear regulator that belongs to the AME8801/8812/8840 family. It is designed for battery applications and features low quiescent current and low dropout voltage. The compact SOT-25/TSOT-25 & SOT-26/TSOT-26 packages make it suitable for "Pocket" and "Hand Held" applications. The device has Thermal Shutdown and Current Fold-back features to prevent failure under extreme operating conditions. To achieve a low noise, regulated supply, a 1000 pF capacitor can be used between Bypass and Ground. The AME8801 is stable with an output capacitance of 2.2mF or greater.
