The YMU788-WZE7 is a high-quality melody LSI designed for cellular phone handsets in the category of IC chips. It is capable of supporting various applications including ringing and holding melody sounds. This electronic component features Yamaha's original FM synthesizer, which allows for the creation of various timbres. The built-in sequencer enables the production of up to 4 different sounds with 4 different timbres simultaneously, without placing a load on the controller. It also includes a serial port controller interface for real-time reproduction of melody data via FIFO, without any limitations on data capacity.
