The W99682BCDG is an integrated circuit chip designed for VCD decoding and MP3 playback. It performs real-time decompression of MPEG streams including system layer, audio, and video data. Apart from offering versatile features, the chip is also pin-to-pin compatible with the popular VCD decoder, the W9925QF.

Application Scenarios
The W99682BCDG is ideal for standalone VCD and MP3 applications. It can play VCD2.0, VCD1.1, Karaoke CD, CD-I FMV, and CDDA titles. Furthermore, it provides playback commands such as slow motion, scan, pause, single frame, video clipping, freeze, and stop. It also has an enhanced error recovery algorithm to recover from disk scratches and CD-drive errors.
