Description
The RP56LP is a member of the TC55 Series, which is a family of CMOS low dropout positive voltage regulators used for IC chips. It is capable of sourcing up to 250mA of current and has an extremely low operating current of 1.1µA typical. This feature makes it an ideal choice for battery-operated applications as it eliminates the need for an additional shutdown mode. The power consumption of the RP56LP is 1000 times lower than in bipolar regulators, which significantly extends the battery life.
