Description
The MAX3095/MAX3096 are rugged, low-power, quad, RS-422/RS-485 receivers with electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for use in harsh environments. These receivers are designed to operate in a +5V supply for MAX3095 and a +3.3V supply for MAX3096. They offer guaranteed propagation-delay tolerance, ensuring device-to-device matching across production lots. The receivers feature complementary enable inputs that can be used to place the devices in a low-power shutdown mode with a high impedance output. They also have a fail-safe feature, guaranteeing a logic-high output in case of an open circuit. With a quarter-unit-load input impedance, up to 128 receivers can be connected on a bus. The MAX3095/MAX3096 are pin-compatible upgrades to the industry-standard '26LS32 and are available in a space-saving QSOP package.
