Description
The SP213ECA is an enhanced multi-channel RS-232 line transceiver with improved electrical performance. It is part of the SP200E family, which is pin-to-pin compatible with the previous SP200 family and popular industry standards. This model features low-power CMOS construction and Sipex-patented on-board charge pump circuitry to generate the ±10V RS-232 voltage levels. It utilizes 0.1µF charge pump capacitors to save board space and reduce circuit cost. The SP213ECA also has a low-power shutdown mode, reducing power supply drain to 1µA. It has a lower power supply current of 3mA typical (no load) and superior ESD performance with an improved ESD tolerance of over ±15kV for both Human Body Model and IEC1000-4-2 Air Discharge test methods.
