Description
The R1160x Series is a group of voltage regulator ICs that operates with high output voltage accuracy, low supply current, and low ON-resistance. It comes with a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistors for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit, and a chip enable circuit. Additionally, low dropout voltage and a chip enable function enable the ICs to perform well. Overcurrent is prevented using a current limit circuit. The R1160x Series has three modes, one being standby mode with a control pin and two using ECO pin. Furthermore, Fast Transient Mode (FT mode) and Low Power Mode (LP mode) are alternative with ECO pin™. The consumption current is reduced to 1/10 at the Low Power Mode from Fast Transient Mode which maintains the output voltage. The ICs come in SOT-23-5 and SON-6 packages, allowing high density mounting on boards.
