Description
The LP3202-33B5F is a constant frequency, current mode, PWM step-down converter. It integrates a main switch and a synchronous rectifier for high efficiency. With an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, it is ideally suited for portable electronic devices powered by a 1-cell Li-ion battery or other power sources within the range, such as cellular phones, PDAs, and handy-terminals. The LP3202-33B5F features an internal synchronous rectifier with low RDS(ON) to reduce conduction loss, and an internal synchronous switch to increase efficiency and eliminate the need for an external Schottky diode. It operates at a fixed frequency of 1.5MHz, allowing for easy smoothing of switching ripple by small package filtering elements. The compact SOT-23-5 package further enhances its suitability for small PCB area applications. Other features include soft start, lower internal reference voltage with 2% accuracy, over temperature protection, and over current protection.
