Description
The 3S0680RF is an IC Chip from the Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) Product Family. It is designed specifically for use in off-line SMPS with minimal external components. The 3S0680RF consists of a high voltage power SenseFET and a current mode PWM controller IC. The controller IC features a trimmed oscillator, under voltage lockout, leading edge blanking, optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver, thermal shutdown protection, overvoltage protection, temperature compensated precision current sources for loop compensation, and fault protection circuit.
Compared to a discrete MOSFET and controller or RCC switching converter solution, the 3S0680RF can reduce total component count, design size, weight, and at the same time increase efficiency, productivity, and system reliability. It is well-suited for cost effective C-TV power supply.
