STMicroelectronics STBC08PMR is a plug-and-play, high performance Mixed Signal Secure MCU (microcontroller) for secure authentication and secure communication. It combines a powerful 8-bit Microcontroller and secure cryptographic functions based on advanced hardware-based security algorithms like AES, TDES and SHA. Ideal for secure applications such as Payment, e-Passport, Automotive, Digital ID and secure connectors, the STBC08PMR offers low power consumption, fast computing and secure authentication. The STBC08PMR is a versatile MCU that offers an array of features including a fast 8-bit CPU, an updated Flash and RAM, Microcontroller and I/O peripherals, as well as a full set of security features. The device uses the secure cryptography processor (SCP) for rapid and secure execution of respective algorithms. The SCP is optimized for low power consumption and provides necessary security for AES, TDES and SHA encryption. The STBC08PMR is also equipped with a secure non-volatile memory (NVM) for storing keys and other confidential data. In addition, the STBC08PMR boasts advanced features such as an integrated oscillator, reset circuit, bootloader and on-chip debug. The device supports multiple devices and protocols such as USART, UART, I2C and SPI and a temperature sensor is integrated. Furthermore, the device is equipped with five independent Timers. The STBC08PMR comes with a comprehensive software suite including tools for development and debugging. All these features make STBC08PMR ideal for various automotive, mobile and industrial applications.
