The BQ24133RGYT is a battery management IC that serves as a fully compliant USB charger for space-limited portable applications. This linear charger operates from either a USB port or an AC adapter and supports charge currents up to 1.5 A. It has an input voltage range with input overvoltage protection, which supports unregulated adapters. The USB input current limit accuracy and start-up sequence allow the BQ24133RGYT to meet USB-IF inrush current specifications. In addition, the device's input dynamic power management (VIN-DPM) prevents the charger from crashing due to incorrectly configured USB sources.
