Description
The UZ1086L-3.3 is a low dropout three-terminal regulator with a 1.5A output current capability. It has been optimized for low voltage applications where transient response and minimum input voltage are critical. The UZ1086L-3.3 is designed to be used in Active Terminators for SCSI bus. It has a trimmed current limit to ensure specified output current and controlled short-circuit current. On-chip thermal limiting provides protection against any combination of overload and ambient temperatures that would create excessive junction temperatures. The UZ1086L-3.3 offers higher efficiency compared to PNP type regulators as the quiescent current flows into the load instead of being wasted.
