The MC14014BFELG is an 8-bit static shift register constructed with MOS P−channel and N−channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. - Pin-for-pin replacements are available for CD4014B and CD4021B which makes MC14014BFELG more compatible and easily replaceable.
Disadvantages- Not suitable for high-speed data conversion as compared to other shift registers like CD4042A.
- Limited to 8-bit shift operation, which makes it not appropriate for larger data set handling.
