The YMU793-CZE2 is a high-quality melody LSI designed for cellular phone handsets. It supports various applications including ringing and holding melody sounds. With Yamaha's original FM synthesizer, it can create various timbres. It also has a built-in sequencer that can produce up to 4 different sounds with 4 different timbres simultaneously, without placing a load on the controller. The YMU793-CZE2 features a serial port controller interface that enables real-time reproduction of the melody data via FIFO, without the limitation of the data capacity.
