Description
The LM2591HVSX-3.3 is a DC switching regulator component that belongs to the LM2594 monolithic integrated circuit series, which is designed for easy and convenient step-down switching regulator (buck converter) designs. It can drive a 0.5A load with excellent line and load regulation. The LM2591HVSX-3.3 is available in an adjustable output version, which is internally compensated to minimize the number of external components and simplify the power supply design. This device is highly efficient and can significantly increase the power supply's efficiency compared to popular three-terminal linear regulators, especially with higher input voltages. The LM2591HVSX-3.3 operates at a switching frequency of 150 kHz, which allows smaller-sized filter components to be used compared to lower frequency switching regulators. Additionally, it is available in a standard 8-Lead PDIP and 8-Lead Surface Mount packages.
