Description
The SAF-C161PI-L25M is a 16-Bit Microcontroller from the C166 Family of High-Performance CMOS Microcontrollers. It features a high-performance 16-bit CPU with a 4-stage pipeline and a 80 ns instruction cycle time at a 25 MHz CPU clock. The microcontroller offers enhanced boolean bit manipulation facilities, additional instructions to support high-level languages and operating systems, and a register-based design with multiple variable register banks. It has a 16-priority-level interrupt system with 27 sources, and 8-channel interrupt-driven single-cycle data transfer facilities via Peripheral Event Controller (PEC). The SAF-C161PI-L25M also includes on-chip memory modules, on-chip peripheral modules, and support for up to 8 MBytes of external address space for code and data. It supports idle and power down modes with flexible power management, has a programmable watchdog timer and oscillator watchdog, and is supported by a wide range of development tools.
