Description
The E4868ET3 is a high power transient suppressor designed to absorb high voltage transients associated with power disturbances, switching, and induced lighting effects. It is commonly used on the output of switching power supplies and can replace crowbar circuits. This component is able to withstand high levels of peak current, allowing a circuit breaker to trip or a fuse to blow before shorting, which enables the user to reset the breaker or replace the fuse and continue operation. It is recommended to use a sufficient mounting surface to dissipate the heat generated during transient or overvoltage conditions.
