Description
The LT1270A/LT1270 is a monolithic high power switching regulator designed for various applications. It is similar to the LT1070 but operates at a higher switching frequency of 60kHz and has a higher switch current. This regulator can be used in different switching configurations such as buck, boost, flyback, and inverting. It features a high current, high efficiency switch, along with oscillator, control, and protection circuitry. The integration of all these functions makes it easy to use and provides reliable operation, similar to that of linear regulators. It operates with a supply voltage range of 3.5V to 30V, with a low quiescent current of only 7mA. With current-mode switching techniques, it offers excellent AC and DC load and line regulation. The LT1270A/LT1270 also includes adaptive anti-sat switch drive, allowing for a wide range of load currents with no loss in efficiency. It also has a shutdown mode that reduces total supply current to 100µA for standby operation.
