Description
The LT1079IN#PBF is a micropower quad op amp that belongs to the Instrumentation OpAmps product category. It is optimized for single supply operation at 5V, but ±15V specifications are also provided. The design of the LT1079IN#PBF focuses on reducing supply current without sacrificing precision, noise, speed, and output drive specifications. It achieves the lowest offset voltage among any dual or quad nonchopper stabilized op amp in the micropower category. The LT1079IN#PBF offers improved offset current, voltage and current noise, slew rate, and gain bandwidth product compared to previous micropower op amps. It has a low frequency noise performance in the range of 0.1Hz to 10Hz, which is only found in devices with significantly higher supply current. The LT1079IN#PBF can be operated from a single supply, such as one lithium cell or two Ni-Cad batteries. Its input range goes below ground, and the output stage swings close to ground while sinking current, eliminating the need for power-consuming pull-down resistors.
