Electronic Component Model: PMB6710V0.0 is a Bluetooth transceiver designed for the 2.4 GHz ISM Band. It is part of the complete Infineon Bluetooth chipset solution. This component features a completely integrated receiver with outstanding RF performance, including best-in-class sensitivity and blocking. It has a low current consumption and does not require external IF filters or RF filters. The PMB6710V0.0 utilizes B6HFC BiCMOS technology with a 25 GHz ft, and it also includes a fully balanced self-adjusting VCO with integrated varactor diodes for receive and transmit mode. The chip has a prescaler and PLL on-chip with a 1 MHz charge pump reference frequency. There are supply voltage regulators for the VCO and the analog part, as well as an internal current reference for PLL charge pump to maintain a constant lock-in time. The PMB6710V0.0 is available in a small outline P-TSSOP-38 package (PMB 6625) or a very small VQFN 40 package (PMB6627). Its low-IF receiver topology solution eliminates the need for an IF SAW-filter or RF ceramic filter, reducing component count. Additionally, it includes a 2.5 GHz RF power amplifier, which allows for adjustable output power with an external resistor. This eliminates the need for an external power amplifier for Bluetooth power class 2 operation and enables a direct interface to power class 1 PA via small matching circuits, further reducing the RF front-end component count. The PMB6710V0.0 also features an on-chip LNA for optimum sensitivity and blocking, a 70 dB RSSI dynamic range, and a data slicer with specialized offset compensation or analog output.
