Description
The LM431ACM3 is a 3-terminal adjustable shunt regulator in the voltage references product category. It has specified thermal stability over applicable automotive and commercial temperature ranges. The output voltage can be set to any value between approximately 2.5V (VREF) and 36V by using two external resistors. With a typical output impedance of 0.2Ω, this device is an excellent replacement for zener diodes in various applications including on-board regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies. The LM431AC is characterized for operation from 0°C to +70°C, while the LM431AI is characterized for operation from -40°C to +85°C.
