Description
The LTC4300A-1CMS8#TRPBF is a signal buffer, repeater, splitter that allows for I/O card insertion into a live backplane without data and clock bus corruption. This 2-wire bus buffer provides bidirectional buffering, which keeps backplane and card capacitances isolated. It has low offset and high VOL tolerance, which allows cascading of multiple devices on the clock and data busses. The device can generate up to 16 clock pulses and a stop bit in an attempt to free the bus if the bus is stuck and DISCEN is high. This device is used in various applications, such as live board insertion, servers, capacitance buffer, bus extender, RAID systems, and ATCA.
