The CS4923/4/5/6/7/8 is a family of multi-channel digital audio decoders designed for Dolby Digital, MPEG-2 Stereo, MPEG-2 multi-channel encoding, and DTS decoding. It offers features such as optional Virtual 3D Output, simulated surround and programmable effects, autodetection of audio formats, flexible 6-channel master or slave output, IEC60958/61937 transmitter, dedicated input buffer, DAC clock via analog phase-locked loop, multiple input modes, PES layer decode for A/V synchronization, 96-kHz-capable PCM I/O, optional external memory and auto-boot, and low-power CMOS.
