The LTC4301IMS8#PBF is a hot swappable 2-wire bus buffer that belongs to the signal buffers, repeaters, and splitters product category. This electronic component enables I/O card insertion into a live backplane without any data or clock bus corruption. The LTC4301IMS8#PBF provides bidirectional buffering, thereby keeping the backplane and card capacitances isolated, and making it possible to cascade multiple devices on the clock and data busses. This model has a low offset and high VOL tolerance, making it perfect for high capacitively loaded busses. It also comes with fault detection and disconnect features that allow it to generate up to 16 clock pulses and a stop bit in an attempt to free the bus.
