Description

The 74FST3126QSR is a Bus switch belonging to IDTs family of signal switches/encoders & decoders/multiplexers. Bus switch devices are used to connect or isolate two ports without providing any inherent current sink or source capability. They connect input and output ports through an n-channel FET, which when adequately forward-biased conducts, and the resistance between input and output ports is small. These devices provide a low resistance path for an external driver without generating noise on their own. Without adequate bias on the gate-to-source junction of the FET, the device is turned off, and thus, with no VCC applied, it has hot insertion capability.
