The M12S30W38 is an electronic component manufactured by Cornell Dubilier Electronics. It is a capacitor hardware type VR vertical mounting clamp. This clamp is designed to mount any cylindrical capacitor with a diameter ranging from 1" to 3" in a vertical position. It is made of 1010 CRS, commercial grade #4 temper ASI scale material and has a thickness of 0.035". The clamp is finished with a nominal zinc chromate plating of 0.0001". It is commonly used for mounting CG types, PSU, SF, and MPF types of capacitors. The phosphate and oil finish of the clamp makes it useful for retaining various cylindrical components such as spindles, condensers, tubes, rods, and conduit.
In addition, the M12S30W38 is also suitable for use as a bleeder resistor in AC motor start and run applications. A 15K Ohm 2 watt bleeder resistor is used for AC motor start applications, which helps to protect relay switch contacts and the capacitor. The resistor has 1/4" quick connect terminals, eliminating the need for soldering. Similarly, a 220K Ohm 1 watt bleeder resistor is employed for AC motor run applications, serving the same purpose of protecting relay switch contacts and the capacitor. It also features 1/4" quick connect terminals for easy installation.
